Welcome to the Darylmple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd web site! Since commencing operations in 1983, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal has established itself as Queensland's premier coal export facility. The terminal is an integral part of Australia's coal supply chain, ensuring reliability and continuity of coal supply from the Bowen Basin coal fields to the world export market.

 
   

News'vember

November is News'vember! Encouraging young people to read and write and get some great prizes for your school. During the month of November you need to read a copy of The Daily Mercury for 10 minutes per day and answer the questions provided in the Newsvember Guide. You can also particiapte in wackiest places to read The Mercury and get the opportunity to spend the day with a sports journalist.

Coal to Coast Festival

The Coal to Coast Festival - Sarina is a community celebration of the positive impact the mining industry has had on the Mackay region. The festival is held over two days at the Sarina Showgrounds featuring; a wide variety of top local and national entertainment, mud trials, career options, interactives, coal games and a huge variety of food and children's entertainment. htp://www.coaltocoastfestival.com.au/

DBCT Young People's Theatre Season

Thanks to the generosity of the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT), the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre is able to provide the inaugural DBCT Young People’s Theatre Season in 2010.

Mackay Turtle Watch

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal P/L has provided four much needed data loggers to the Mackay and District Turtle Watch Association and a feature of the Terminal is a turtle friendly lighting environment.

Mackay & District Turtle Watch consists of volunteers, who monitor beaches from Repulse Bay in the north of the Region to Stanage Bay in the south. They operate under the guidelines of the Queensland Sea Turtle Project. Members collect data on nesting sea turtles, hatchlings and stranded marine animals. The group also educates the public, through public awareness activities, at schools, community groups and on the beaches.

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal P/L has provided 4 much needed data loggers to the association and we ensure that we have turtle friendly lighting.

Mining Trail

The Mining Trail is a recognised project that is essential to grow the tourist appeal of the region and attract domestic and international visitors. The trail will traverse the Bowen Basin providing; picnic spots, interest points and new facilities to turn the drive into a journey, highlighting the vastness and value of the region's coal industry. 

CQ Rescue

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal P/L keeps CQ Rescue flying with a $10,000.00 Donation. 

National Day of Thanksgiving

Each year in Mackay North Queensland the Mackay & District Inter-Church Council in conjunction with the Mackay Regional Council host a free Thanksgiving Day Community Festival in the grounds of the Mackay Entertainment Centre. Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal is proud of our local volunteers and public servants committment to our region and this day recognises them and brings the community together.

Sarina Land Care

Sarina Landcare manages the Community Nursery and community volunteer program. These programs implement biodiversity conservation and rehabilitation actions in the catchment. DBCT P/L has recently funded Sarina Landcare with funds for the plant a tree day and a brand new marquee, which provides greening mobility across the the catchment area. http://www.mwnrm.org.au/cma/slcma/

City Safe Mackay

City Safe Mackay promotes and rewards responsible behaviour in the Mackay CBD. Catch a taxi, don't drink and drive, keep hydrated, look after your friends and enjoy a night out in the heart of the city. The next step is up to you!

Festival of Arts

The Festival of Arts is an opportunity to celebrate the diverse talent our region has to offer and to appreciate and be inspired by artisits from all over the country. DBCT P/L with it's sponsorship in 2009 created the first ever Songs for a Sarina, a world concert event and now a permanent fixture in the festival's program.  http://www.festivalmackay.org.au/

DBCT P/L Community Working Group

This group was created to encourage communication between the terminal and the community and aims to work with the community to tackle social, environmental and economic issues.

World's Greatest Shave

The Leukaemia Foundation World’s Greatest Shave is one of Australia’s biggest fundraising events.  100,000 people across the country will shave or colour their hair.  DBCT P/L is proud to support this initiative and in 2009 raised almost $8,000.00. http://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/
