Young People's Theatre Season
Thanks to the generosity of the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT), the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre is able to provide the inaugural DBCT Young People’s Theatre Season in 2010.
The DBCT Young People’s Theatre Season contains a selection of shows specifically designed for children and school students (and of course those who are simply young at heart).
We are delighted that the Bell Shakespeare Company return to Mackay after an absence of a decade, the Bell Shakespeare Company will be offering school’s workshops while in Mackay. Similarly school’s workshops will be provided to complement the performances of “I Don’t Want to Play House”.
Mackay Regional Council libraries will feature "The Gruffalo" at children’s story time this year, allowing youngsters the opportunity to explore both the book and the play.
Erth’s Dinosaur Petting Zoo will be a huge talking point when life size Dinosaurs roam around the Convention Centre’s plenary halls late this year.
