ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System

The ultimate objective within our business is to create and sustain an injury free, healthy work environment for our people and surrounding communities. We are committed to our goal of reducing harm whilst complying with applicable laws and regulations governing workplace safety. Our safety and risk management systems exist to provide all divisions and operations of DBCT P/L a common approach to achieve our objective for everyone who enters our workplace. From detailed engineering design criteria to routine operations, all activities strive to reduce risk.

DBCT P/L maintains accreditation to ISO 45001, which defines the requirements for an effective Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system. Accreditation demonstrates that our business has taken into account the information about hazards and risks in our work place, and that we have achieved the following:

  • Developed, implemented, maintained and improved an effective OH&S management system.
  • Have assurance that we conform to the required OH&S policies.
  • Provide evidence of conformance to policies to interested stakeholders.
  • Declare conformance with the standard or make a commitment to conform to its requirements.

We are also committed to reducing risk through our Enterprise Wide Risk Management (EWRM) framework. DBCT P/L has aligned to ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management to ensure reasonably foreseeable risks are identified and managed, and commits to:

  • Identifying, understanding, analysing and managing risks to ensure we provide certainty and confidence for our customers, stakeholders, employees, suppliers and local community.
  • Integrating risk management into all our business activities functions and processes.
  • Implementing systems and providing the necessary resources to manage risks in accordance with legislative and operational protocols.
  • Establishing, evaluating and communicating performance measures and accountabilities relating to EWRM.
  • Proactively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the EWRM framework and apply risk treatment measures where reasonably practicable
