Work Experience

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd supports local students seeking work experience in the industry. Work experience involves students in short-term industry placements, which broadens their experience and understanding of the world of work and career opportunities. In general, students will observe different aspects of their desired field of work within the Terminal and may assist with tasks allocated by their supervisor. Work experience is unpaid work and set for a defined period of time.

We have four business units: Business Improvement, Asset Management, Business Services and Operations, with these further broken down into the departments of IT, Business Improvement, Projects, Control Systems, Supply, Technical Support, Maintenance, Infrastructure, Commercial Services, Human Resources, Health Safety Environment and Quality, Logistics and Operations.

* Students wanting to perform work experience in trade related areas will require a hand and power tools competency, such as MEM18002B. This competency can be obtained through a Registered Training Organisation or your school.

** Note: this is a request for work experience only. Due to the volume of work experience requests, DBCT P/L can only cater for a limited number of students. Requests need to be submitted 6 weeks prior to your desired start date. You will be advised within 2 weeks if your request is approved or denied.
