Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) P/L has been a proud member of the Hay Point community for over 25 years and is committed to being a good neighbour. In order to encourage the flow of information between the Terminal and local stakeholders, DBCT P/L has established a series of initiatives to ensure effective communication and strong relationships between the Terminal and the community.
Community Working Group (CWG)
DBCT P/L representatives hosts local residents and other local stakeholders at regular Community Working Group meetings. The group was created to encourage communication between the terminal and the community and aims to work with the community to tackle social, environmental and economic issues.

The CWG Fund
The CWG Fund makes up to $6000 available to support community projects in the Hay Point area each year. To be eligible, projects must have economic, environmental or social benefits for the local community. Please contact any member of the CWG Committee (listed above) for more details.
Community Reference Group
DBCT P/L is an active participant in PCQ's Community Reference Group, which meets at Louisa Creek's Hector Sports Ground twice a year to discuss port issues.
Public Relations Advisor
The Public Relations Advisor provides the local community with a dedicated point of contact at the Terminal. The current Advisor is Andrew Garratt.
Sponsorship program
DBCT P/L supports a wide range of local and regional community initiatives, including the Alligator Creek State School Learn to Swim program, the Coal to Coast Festival, the Hay Point Is... Photography competition, the Songs for Sarina Festival of Arts festival, City Safe Mackay, November is News'vember, the Mining Trail and National Thanksgiving Day. Other projects are also supported through the CWG Fund like; Sarina Landcare, Conservation Foundation and Turtle Watch.
