Community Giving

DBCT P/L has committed to an ongoing donation during 2023 towards the Mackay Veteran Support Group (MVSG).

The MVSG is a local group of serving and former members of the Australian, Commonwealth and Allied Defence Force. The group was founded in 1997, and they’re currently located in Leisure Court, near BB Print Stadium.

The MVSG members are split into two groups: outdoor maintenance & gardening, and work shed crews. The work shed crews create a variety of woodwork and other items that are donated to local community groups. Bunnings Warehouse is a supporter of the MVSG, and donates supplies. The MVSP also host regular meetings, social get togethers and monthly BBQs. Contact Mackay Veterans Support Group if you know of anyone interested in joining.

DBCT P/L is supporting MVSG by purchasing items to the value of $8,000 on behalf of local community groups and schools throughout 2021, on request. The MVSG will build a variety of items in their work shop; such as mud kitchens & activities for children and schools or sporting & community groups. Schools & community groups can apply to receive these items, paid for by DBCT P/L. (Please note that submitting the above request does not guarantee the item. There is a limit of items per school/group/applicant. Once this allocated budget has been reached, applicants will need to apply for items directly through Mackay Veterans Support Group. DBCT P/L will approve items at their discretion)
