The Coal Chain

The path coal follows from the mine to the port is called the coal chain.

The coal chain includes all of the steps, and the stakeholders, between the point where the coal enters the mine’s stockpile to when it ends up in the hold of a ship.

Stakeholders don’t just include the mines, the rail providers, the shipping agencies and DBCT P/L, but all of the indirect groups such as governmental bodies.

DBCT P/L works with all of these groups to ensure the coal’s journey from mine to port operates smoothly.
